Hi, I’m Lauren, a passionate and experienced physics tutor with 20 years experience working in schools. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Cardiff University and am a fully qualified teacher, specialising in physics from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.

I am a former Head of Science and Physics, most recently at Roedean School in Brighton, and have led departments in a range of successful schools, including comprehensive, grammar, and independent settings, giving me a deep understanding of curriculum design, student progress, and what it takes to help learners succeed, at any stage.

I specialise in delivering interactive, engaging sessions, designed to build confidence and long-term understanding, inspiring students to achieve their very best through meeting their individual needs within a trusting, supportive and nurturing environment. As an examiner for GCSE and IGCSE Physics, I provide unique insight into exam technique and expectations, helping students perform at their very best.

When I’m not teaching, I’m happiest by the water—swimming, paddleboarding, or chasing waves with my family along the south coast where we share our home with our two cats.
