Hi, i'm Lauren

I'm a full-time Physics tutor and GCSE examiner, with 20 years' classroom experience behind me, including 10 years as Head of Science. I love the moment a student realises they were capable all along; watching them go from anxious and unsure to confident and capable is genuinely the best part of what I do.

Here's a bit about me:

 

  • I spent 20 years in the classroom as a Physics teacher, Head of Science, and GCSE examiner

  • Every year I mark hundreds of real GCSE Physics papers — I know exactly where marks are won and lost

  • I've supported thousands of students, from feeling a bit lost with their GCSE Physics to Grade 8/9

  • I'm now a full-time Physics tutor, bringing that classroom and examiner experience directly to my students

  • I also deliver Physics CPD to secondary school teachers and mentor early career Physics teachers.

  • I live on the south coast and when I'm not teaching you'll find me sea swimming, paddleboarding, or doing anything else that gets me in the water!
